When someone in your area needs what you offer, they pull out their phone and search. In that exact moment, one of two things happens: they find you, or they find your competitor. There's no third option. So how do you make sure it's you?
It starts with your Google Business Profile. That free listing is what shows up in the map at the top of local searches. If it's not claimed, complete, and kept fresh with photos and updates, you're invisible at the moment customers are looking. This is the single highest-impact free thing a local business can do.
Next is your website. Google reads your site to understand what you do and where you do it. If your pages don't clearly say what you offer and where you serve, Google can't confidently show you. A well-built site uses the words your customers actually search — naturally, not stuffed in.
Reviews are the multiplier. A steady stream of recent reviews tells Google your business is active and trusted, and it pushes you up in the local results. Ask every happy customer, make it easy with a direct link, and respond to every one.
Finally, consistency matters. Your name, phone number, and service area should be identical everywhere — your website, your Google profile, your social pages. Conflicting info confuses Google and pushes you down.
Every site I build is structured for local search from day one, and I can help you claim and optimize your Google profile too. Call or text me at (989) 350-5433 and let's make sure you're the one customers find first.
